JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Assist users identify, collect and document system requirements
• Coordinate the development of technical and functional documentation manuals
• Review business requests for data usage requirements
• Develop data modeling structures to meet those requirements
• Coordinate new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structures
• Research, develop and implement data sources that facilitate new and better data acquisition feeds
• Design, develop and code new data structures to enhance system functionality
• Develop and implement test procedures in order to ensure data quality and system functionality
• Manage data warehouse access and security protocols
• Implement and maintain the SQL database and related windows programming environment including archive, recovery, and load strategy and procedures
• Evaluate SQL database capacity requirements to ensure corporate growth objectives are met
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance
• Provide progress reports on deliverables to management and be accountable for meeting specified deadlines
• Provide support to the user community
• Assist with the training of our users during project rollout
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 6+ years of business data warehousing experience
• Knowledge and experience with financial processes and reporting systems. Experience in IBM Cognos TM1 or Hyperion is an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and technologies (SSIS, SSRS) as well as OLAP technology (SSAS)
• Have a comprehensive understanding of windows programming techniques and structures.
• Knowledge of .NET object-oriented programming environment and web development toolsets such as Microsoft SharePoint Server
• Bilingual – French and English
• Self-motivated, Pro-active
• Posses a strong analytical approach with particular strength on sorting through details
• Ability to complete assigned tasks under minimal supervision
• Strong attention to quality
• Ability to work well with others, particularly as a team member
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Relies on experience to plan and accomplish objectives
